OMG! I was six years old and fell absolutely head over heels in love with Gardner McKay who was on the old show "Adventures in Paradise." What a seriously gorgeous man! Check out the pic I found on Wikipedia. Yummy...

Okay, what's going on here? I thought I was playing my viola, Wolf and just minding my own business. I mean, Jumpin' Sweet Jiminy on a pogo stick, can't I play the Walton Viola Concerto without interference? It was going along swimmingly, all my double-stops were in tune, my spiccato bow was working pretty well, and then this happened....

Home sweet home

By the way, I'm really depressed now. Daddy took away all the yummy mulch that was in the yard, so I started eating random sticks. Today, Momma noticed that I had a couple of boo-boos on my chin and lips and said, "Vic, Butter's got to stop eating wood." Daddy's out cleaning up all my little snacks. I wonder if I can eat aluminum...

Oreo and Butter

Well. This was certainly a day to remember. Momma was moving a bunch of stuff up to the attic and Daddy was helping her. He got out the ladder and was putting a bunch of boxes up in that little space that Oreo and I would like to get up and play in except we don't know how to work a ladder and we don't have opposable thumbs, so we have to content ourselves with rampaging around the house. I mean, we're still kittens technically.... Oh yeah, anyway, Momma and Daddy were all involved with the boxes and Momma had left a roast out in that plastic wrapping they all come in. She was getting ready to make pot roast in the slow cooker and I guess she forgot about it with all the box-moving and whatnot. So I moseyed on over to the counter and started helping her unwrap the roast. Who doesn't like a little help when they're cooking? I accidentally got a little bit of the roast in my fangs so I had to eat it, didn't I? It was pretty good, even with the plastic and all. I was having myself a nice little munch, just kind of enjoying that piquant taste of saran wrap and raw meat, when I heard, "MARY, BUTTER'S EATING OUR ROAST!!!!" Daddy didn't sound very happy. Momma put me outside and told me to go and reflect on the error of my ways. I just don't get Mom and Dad sometimes. I mean, my name's "Butter" and my sister's name is "Oreo"... It's not like we're not living up to our names, is it?

What are your favorite weird food combinations?

Yay! One of my favorite topics! I love tomato cookies and mayonnaise pudding, preferably at the same time. Beef jerky ice cream is also high on my list. Actually, Victor just reminded me of one of my all-time favorites, scotch and burritos. I know it's not technically a weird food combo, but it's weird just the same. No really, I like the ever-popular ketchup and wonder bread sandwiches. How boring is that?

What method do you use to prepare your coffee or tea?

I have an old Mr. Coffee coffeemaker. We use Folger's classic roast, 4 scoops to ten cups of water. I add a pinch of salt because it cuts down on the acidity; Vic loves it. We also make sun tea. We've got a big clear jar; add water and a bunch of Lipton tea bags. Leave out in the sun for about 4 to 6 hours, you get tea. YAY!

Do you read the Sunday paper? Which one(s)?

I still read a regular, old-fashioned newsprint-type paper, The Tampa Tribune. There's a quaint little box across the street from where I live and I walk up there and buy it.... I read all the sections, look at the comics, clip the coupons, read the sales ads...some habits are hard to break.

Mr. Impatient

Wow! It finally warmed up here. Boy, those 40 degree mornings are tough.... fog and dew, just too damp for a kitty. I have to find a comfortable spot under the deck, or kick Tiny One off her favorite rock and then she always gets all pissy and we have a fight. She's such a miss priss! Then, my fur gets all damp and I have to give myself ANOTHER bath and my feet get cold and I get so hungry...Wait a minute, I'm always hungry....well, Mom always makes sure we have plenty of food....Anyway, yeah, it was SO cold...BRRRR!....and my nose got cold and I was shivering and then I started to get icecicles in my eyebrows...and then....Wait a minute, I've been sleeping with Mom and Dad. Never mind.
